Default phone gets hot

Please Login to Remove!

Just took a 20minute call and when i was done the key pad area is HOT..No its not from the heat of my hand because i wasnt holding the phone i was on bluetooth. Is it only me or do you guys have the same issue with the phone running hot? Please let me know So i can return it or get a new one thanks

If it cooled back down after the phone call and doesn't happen regularly, then I'd chock it up to the conditions of use at that time putting a bigger than usual demand on the battery.

If it starts happening under a variety of conditions and uses, and if the battery is draining when it shouldn't, then I'd suspect a problem and check into it.

EDIT: By the way, I know it's hard to describe hot versus warm. I've experienced a BlackBerry getting very warm, but not so it couldn't be held. If you BlackBerry did get hot to the touch, not just very warm, then I would definitely look into it now. Maybe set up a test and see if you can repeat it. Then look into a warranty replacement if necessary (and if possible).

It get warm but not burning hot and the battery is normal no drainage..

I am new to the blackberry world but I this happen to me and I found that I had too many apps running in the background I was not closing them with the escape key. once I closed the non need apps the phone cooled down and the battery life was greatly extended

I agree that apps not closed properly coupled with your bluetooth in use at the same time is the cause. Sometimes a buggy app can cause this also, in my case it was third party ogg player.
