Default First thing I did...

Please Login to Remove!

So, I got the idea for this thread from reading SWIZZ's thread in the new member forum and figured it might be a good idea to see what was the first thing we all did with our Blackberries. Maybe this will give new BB users a chance to see what thier new toys are capable of.

So, tell us the first thing you did with your blackberry. Please include Models as well.

Who knows, this one could be pretty fun to read

With my 8700g, the first thing I did was unlock the TMobile OS so I could use the Zen theme (obviously with the help of this forum).

When I got my first 7730, the first thing I did was teach myself how to send and receive text messages.

When I got my first 7100t, I taught myself how to use PIN messages (learned how to use SureType and Multitap), changed the theme, found more applications, and set up my email accounts, calendar for personal use and surfed the web.

With my 7105t, the first thing I did was change the theme (screwed it up a few times too LOL) and learn about upgrading the software. Then I surfed the web. Next task....tethering LOL

First thing I plan on doing is charging it and checking out all the functions on it. I'm a SEVERE button presser and I usually don't read manuals first lol

Glad to see I sparked a cool thread =) I cant wait to get my Berry!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL You're welcome. This is BB # 7 for me so with each one I've had, I've learned new things. I forgot about the 950 I still have. That was my first experience thumb typing actually. Mostly wrote emails on it.

Neat thread! First thing I did with my 8700c was to turn it on and then double check that it was unlocked.

This is my first personal BBerry (went through two models at the previous job) so I am already familiar with them and what they can do.

I first BB I've ever had, was the Nextel 7520.

And the first thing I did (of course after charging it completely), I *churp* (walkie talkie) somebody for almost 30 minutes.

The fun part of it? That person was lying beside me in bed.. face to face.

I thought it was the sexiest and happiest time of my life.. talk about lame, huh?

The first thing I did with mine was discover that I will never not be at work again.
We use mostly 7520's with nextel/sprint service at work and I am responsible for the BES and when my trusted network support person is out I do the activation of new BB's. So that means the first thing that happens to all new BB's at work is that someone in the IT department sets them up.

Well I got mine finally =) I ended up with the 8700g =)
I was supposed to get the 7290 in the mail but they never sent it =/ so I screamed and got my way and went to pick up my new 8700 from a Tmo dealer near me!!!!!!!!
First thing I did was add Berry 411 and Google maps lol I got only 3 contacts in it so far, I need to find the easiest way to get all my contacts off my nextel i860 on to the berry =/ I really hope I dont have to type it all lol

To the search button I go!!!!!!!!!!!!

To all that suggested the 8700g instead THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also downloaded the Theme maker program cause I'm a DIE HARD Chicago Bears fan and couldnt find any Bears Themes on the site, so I am going to attempt to make one =) I will let ya know how it turns out. If I get the hang of it I will even take requests and make some for the Members here as well =)

See Ya!

okay, so i put my 7290 in the drawer, and i got a 7100. first thing i did with it was to download a theme. Then i realized the person i got it from still had about 172 contacts still in the phone, so i wiped it, upgraded to OS 4.1, then transfered all my contacts from my 7290. oh, and re-installed my theme
