I truely am curious as to how I am going to like the 8800. I am loving the 8100 thus far, but I do miss the full QWERTY.

If Cingular is going to have it mid Feb then I would think we would be hearing some announcement. As we have not, it IS looking like March for the release OR later!

Verizon won't be first but it will be soon (this year)....It looks like there will be a CDMA/GSM hybrid of the 8800.

I just read about this on blackberrycool... engadget has a good write-up as well... Q2 of 07. It looks like the days of waiting a year or more for new phones is behind us "loyal" VZW customers.

Could they be being tight-lipped in the wake of the 8100 release date fiasco?

This is great to hear, as the poorly designed keyboard on the 8700 was a deal breaker for me. After everyother BB model which had a good keyboard, for them to create the 8700 with a dreadful keyboard was a shock.

Now I too will look forward to the 8800.

Thanks for your report.

Cheers...

I hope the VZW 8800 world phone has a camera (which I don't think it will) so that this could actually be a one device solution. I know a lot of you don't care for the cameras, but I have small children and capture a lot of unexpected moments with it. I can't carry one device and not have a camera, I've grown too used to it.
