ONLY delete the vendor.xml file. The rest of the folder is necessary and must be there.

Constant hourglassing is either very low memory or its still scanning your SD card. Check the stickies in the media form for a fix for when the device never finishes scanning the card.
I have 4.5 back installed and running this morning (with no memory card at all yet). I will give it today and tomorrow and see if the hourglass stays away. If it does then I will re-format the card and start with a "new" clean card and let it do its thing with it. So far so good!

Having 2GB of anything won't help your situation. If you are on T-Mobile, you must be using a BB Curve 8320. Your profile appears to be incorrect.
All you should have to do is to re-run the executable that you downloaded in the first post of this thread. Then, delete ONLY the vendor.xml file. After that, Desktop Manager should see that there is a new program for your BB. Give it a few minutes after it syncs up and it should pop up the screen to try and load the new OS.

I have the same problem too, its either a hidden file in the picture folder or 1 of your pictures itself. If you dont have a lot of picture of the card youu can add them one by one and see when it starts rebooting the phone. Its time consuming

I just upgraded last night and now when I try to call out its giving me a "Connection Failed" error.. Is this something I can take care of on the unit itself or is it a software thing?

I finally upgraded my OS and I'm so thrilled. The email alone is worth it!

Question though, since upgrading whenever I send a photo from the camera it sends from my tmo.blackberry.net address instead of my other email address. This didn't used to be the case. I'm thinking there's an option somewhere to set a default email address? Does anyone know how to correct this?

Thanks!

Wirelessly posted (BB 11020)

I've found no way to change by default. I just change mine each time I send.

Wow that's unfortunate. I will remember maybe 1 in 10 times if I'm lucky.

The only way I have found to change that default is to delete the other email address from your BIS account (delete the unwanted default). Reboot the BB, and the remaining address should be the default.

Add the other address back to your BIS account, and the other should remain the default (until you maybe you upgrade the OS again).
