I have searched the review section, and I have found several ruberized skins, but they all seem to be for the pearl. Is there such a thing as a very [U]good[U] skin for the 8700g? If so, where can I get one?

You can do a quick search for these on eBay. I haven't seen these offered through the usual Blackberry stores for whatever reason, but eBay should give you some options.

I never trust the stuff on eBay. Quality might be !#$%. How do you know good stuff from bad? Any other alternatives?

Definitely go with the Seidio Jet Black Premium Skin Case for 8700G. It fits perfectly and will protect your bb. It is slightly bulky though...I only use mine when I'm at home w/out a case for protective purposes. It's quality!
