Did my update in about 20 mins. No issues. New OS is definitely better in overall. I did noticed from time to time the screen will be dimmed. Not sure why and need sometime to see if I can find the pattern what cause that.

I have also read some early posts said now the phone goes to "lock" during the call automatically to prevent the accidental press the "Mute" with your face.... I could not find any settings related to that function, Any insight?

Thanks,

I got a JVM error on mine just out of the blue after loading 5.0.0.328. I just hooked it back up and reloaded it again. That's all it took to get mine working again.

If anyone is having the no circuit/no channel issue on the new storm os, I have come across a couple possilble solutions.
1 is the MNC and MCC settings I have storm on tmobile and mine are 310 and 00
the other is some have have better luck with .327

Instructions are on my blog....sorry but I would post, but it is longgggggg

Just for the knowledge, I often read that "...delete vendor.xml file before upgrade...", is any particular reasons for that? So far, I have done two OS upgrade, both are official Verizon release (of course I am on Verizon service plan), and I didn't need to delete file before upgrade. If there is special advantage with that extra step, I would certainly like to try.

Thanks in advance for the insight.

Is anybody having issues with Bluetooth after the upgrade. My car and Jawbone device will go into continuous ringing mode after I hang up a call. When the phone syncs connects to my car, the car thinks there is a call in progress. I have tried deleting and readding the bluetooth devices, but no go.

The new OS makes the phone so much better, but this bluetooth issue is annoying.

The only time you need to delete the vendor.xml file is when you are installing a carrier's OS on a non-carrier's device. i.e. installing a French carrier's OS on an American phone.

Exclamation Call Log Issue

After upgrading to 5.0.0.328 private numbers no longer show up on the call log. Is anybody else having this problem?

Would you mind telling me how you go it to work? Every time I've tried upgrading it, it tells me no circuit/channel when I try and make a call

Your not alone. Getting the same error. Had to revert back to 4.7.
Some people had luck changing the settings in the service menu:

From the Phone app, enter ##000000 then hit the green button:

IMSI_S: XXXXXXXXXX <---Should be the same as Mobile number

Save from the menu and phone will reboot with new settings.

See if that works for you.

Thanks for that info. I'm going to test it out when I get off of work, I'll let you know how it works.
