Did a quick little search around here and hofo and came up pretty empty except for one other person who seemed to be suffering from this.

The earpiece on the 8110 rattles when at 100% volume but when the volume is reduced to say 3/4 the rattle disappears and the call sounds normal. This is very disappointing and while I can't imagine its a software issue, anyone know of a fix for this?

Sounds like the speaker. Go into a store and try one. If it doesn't do it then have them exchange yours.

I'm absolutely going to do that today, at a different store as well see maybe if its a batch thing but man this is a disappointing I've been waiting for a pearl with gps for a long time. I love the curve but nothing beats (for me) the one handed functionality of the pearl.

My 8110 also sounds bad at full volume. It is more of a distortion than a rattle. My 8310 is fine at this level.
