Hi! I have blackberry 9520 unlocked, but it cant accept BIS and BES on my sim card. Device from EUROPE, but not german. My friend have german blackberry 9520 - and it work well.

I hear that it has region lock, and if I can change pin or imei on device, I can use services. Can you help me?

P.S. We live in Russia, simcard has blackberry services)

Where is the device from, what vendor?

You cannot change the PIN and IMEI on the device. Those are hard coded to the device.

I got a strange problem..my carrier in UAE DU said the BIS/BES cannot be establish in my Storm 9520 since the PIN is not "release" by the previous vendor...I reckon that the previous carrier is vodafone UK..



Is this realistic, if so how do the PIN be release???

Both of you need to contact the previous owner's carrier and ask them to release the PIN from their system. There is no way around this. You must call them.

Or return the device to your seller and get your money back for a non-working device--because it won't work at all, until that is done.

I tested near 10 brand new blackberrys 9520.
All from Germany - working with BIS\BES

from another country - not working.
