curious, what are new features and fixes

Not much;

Airplane mode.
.zip files can be saved from an attachment
Files may be saved from an attachment to either SD or internal memory.
Small updates to Flash and Adobe
Photos can be viewed in portrait and landscape
You can also pinch to zoom in a video while it is playing.

...on the BlackBerry. When bridged, email attachments are not stored on the PlayBook. They are instead stored on the BlackBerry that you are bridged to under a hidden bridge folder. Previously, when bridged to a BlackBerry without a MicroSD card, you couldn't open an email attachment from the PlayBook. No place to store it. Now it will store on the BB internal memory.

While that is the official list, they left off the best feature update. In the Browser, when you click inside the URL bar to edit the URL, you get a little index tab you can use to move the cursor left and right. Editing the URL was such a pain on the PB before; I never could get the cursor exactly where I wanted it. Wonderful new feature.

Bahhhh. My PB showed the available update. I clicked download. The progress bar was not moving. The download didn't seem to have started. I clicked cancel and then restarted the PB.

Now PB doesn't show the new update, just the 1.0.6 update to replace the stuff I deleted. So I did that to see if that would trigger the 1.0.7 notification. It didn't.

I'll have to see what happens over the next couple days, and maybe the server will get back around to me, or something. If not, it's forced update time on Friday.

Edit: I later came across reports the update has been pulled. Issues with bridge for some, apparently.

Can you also stream music even after the 5 minute time out, or multi-tab browsing, while still streaming?

Seems that I can. Right now I have 4 browser tabs open including this post, 2 from a local radio station website and the other tab is the online player that is streaming music. It's been playing over 6 minutes now and I just opened another tab for Twitter.

I am seeing some lag in typing appearing and web pages slowing a bit.

New issue for me. The Power Off app when you chose Standby restarts instead. I had to use the Power Off app because the top bar functions stops responding after I opened the bridge email app.

Confirming. Same for me. (I'm actually on .2670)

On day one flash video in one tab would continue to play after switching to another tab. But Pandora would not.

Just checked and now Pandora continues to play in one tab after I open and switch to a second tab.

Baby steps, but still steps.
