Default 1.0.7 Has Been Pulled By RIM

Please Login to Remove!

It seems that there were enough problems with today's update with the PlayBook that RIM has pulled it. That's why people have been getting failed updates part way through downloading only to then be told that their device is current.

Off to get details. Will post more shortly...

I must have been under the wire. I started downloading early this morning. My PB now shows 1.0.7.2650 as the current software. And I noticed on in the settings I have a new Airplane Mode option.

Interesting. I got it downloaded first thing this AM, so am ok here. My PB hasn't started smoking or anything (or even drinking, for that matter).

And now an article on CrackBerry:

BlackBerry PlayBook OS Update v.1.0.7.2650 no longer available | CrackBerry.com

Seems legit to me.

I am going for shots after work.

Unfortunately, they are allergy shots, and not nearly as fun.

And thanks for posting all the links.... I will erase all the 'ifonline is a big liar' from the restroom walls.

I got it!

Everything is fine by me... though I did notice you couldn't download the BlackBerry Bridge from the App store online (even tho it was suggested to update it along with the 1.0.7 update)

Either way I got 1.0.7 and I have no issues!

And another thing.... how come every single freaking time I come to this forum I have to login like 10 times before I can post a new thread or comment in one?

Doesn't matter what browser I use or what computer I'm on. It's really incredibly annoying.

Hey I only didn't listen to the advice of just returning my PB.... which by the way has been really good these days so I'm not returning it until the next time it breaks, then I promise I'm sending it back... original box and all. ;)

Funny. I was thinking that with all the issues Cooper has posted about, I can only conclude that everything Cooper touches breaks. And just for the record, no Cooper, you may not borrow my car.

I am just happy he hasn't broken BBF or the Internet!

::gasp::

Oh, wait....wasn't BBF down last week? A database issue, or was it a Cooper issue?

Lol, well shit I'm glad I don't break everything at work too.

I've got 7 computers to build this week along with the racking of some servers.

Tho... for some reason I'm always told to stay away from the quantum computers.....
