As a previous resident of Texas, I can confirm this is true. Also, if you really want to see someone get miffed, ask an Englishman if they are Australian

I thought that was asking a New Zealander if they're Austrailian? Or is that just another no-no? ha ha

I ordered a blank cover. When it gets here, I'll try the sugar cube on the Rogers branded one for kicks to see if it works.

Ha ha - wish I'd read the sugar cube method before i scratched off the orange logo with a knife! Its not too bad though. May buy a new bottom bit without branding. I also took it off out of curiousity - its pretty easy to do.

The bottom bit is U shaped. I just levered it off by applying pressure with a penknife at the top of both ends of the U. Then you need to apply a little more pressure with a knife at the bottom on each side.

I haven't received my replacement cover yet. It's coming from Hong Kong via snail mail...maybe sometime next week...

I picked up a bottle of rubbing alcohol (has worked for me in the past) today. No luck. I scrubbed it pretty hard, nothing. Seems like the only way is to get a replacement off of cnn.cn

I got the replacement panel from Cellular Accessories - Mobiado, Sony, Microsoft, SonyEricsson, NEC, Dopod/O2, Accessories Store, Samsun today. Took about 10 days to get to me from Hong Kong. Took less than 10 seconds to remove and about that to put the non-branded one on. Totally worth the money. Their screen protectors aren't bad either at less than $2 each.

Would be willing to test goof-off or another method on your old panel?
