Question

From the powerpoint I reviewed along with some others on this board and hofo, it showed a 7100 series BB, it was called "B3" however it was mentioned the guy who released the powerpoint did change the pics of the phones, so who knows.

If it is released I don't see it happening for iden and cdma till q4 2005 or early 2006. But I dont base my suggestion on anything but my ignorance.

GSM is always first because it is an open standard.
iDEN is a Motorola technology and the BB radio parts have to be licensed from them.
CDMA parts come from from Qualcomm so they tend to lag as well.

Well I don't really care about the ringtones. I like the form factor and phone operation of the 7100 over the 72xx series. However if the rumored Electron is released by year's end, I wait for that.

if you want an electron then you will probably have to go to sprint. You know nextel is always at least a year behind on all there phones that come out im mean just look how long it took them to throw a camera on one meanwhile companies like cingular verzion t mobile are pumping a new phone out every week i know a 7100 version is comming but i wouldnt hold my breathe on the electron

What they are saying is the the 7100i is in the VAD phone list in Nextel's system...FDT or Ensemble. They are correct...shows a system quantity of 0...however that does usually mean that the phone is going to be released the next month...I've only seen that not correct in 1 instance...so we will see.

well when you make a factual statement I expect proof otherwise its just plain rumor and has no validation.

I mean I could tell you that nextel is going to have mp3 and tvs on there next bb and it would be just a rumor as the delivery date.

I mean people have been talking about the 7100 for the nextel but there still isnt any true sign to that.
