If jibi or someone else can please post the modified .alx file for the extra carrier themes it would be much appreciated. Thx.
thanks for the post, to modify the alx is really easy.
open BlackBerry.alx
go to Edit / Find - and look for "Theme filesets". This will bring you to the theme section of the file.
scroll down just a bit and find your carrier

example: for me I look for "AT&T US filesets", It will look like this for me:

Code:
<!-- AT&T US filesets -->
<fileset Colour="True" Java="1.0" series="8800|8300" _vendorID="102"> <files>
net_rim_theme_102a_icon_320x240_b.cod
</files>
</fileset>
Just go below the net_rim_theme file and add in all the full names of the themes you wish to add such as I will add: net_rim_theme_105_zen_320x240_b.cod - so it now looks like this:

Code:
<!-- AT&T US filesets -->
<fileset Colour="True" Java="1.0" series="8800|8300" _vendorID="102"> <files>
net_rim_theme_102a_icon_320x240_b.cod
net_rim_theme_105_zen_320x240_b.cod
</files>
</fileset>
save the file, open DM, connect your BB and click on application loader, it will now load up all your themes.

No worries about having to learn what the different vendorID's are. I just did it with a Verizon Wireless theme (105) that was taken from another OS (8830).

Thanks pal.

Any new finds in this OS? Less errors? Maybe a BB Browser for TMO users instead of the T-Zone browser?

That's one way......

The other way is to remove _vendorID="102" from all the theme fileset lines.

in your above example it would look like this:

<fileset Colour="True" Java="1.0" series="8800|8300">

Simply do this for all the theme lines that have _vendorID="xxx|xxx...etc."

Edit: Added the Blackberry.alx to the first post.

It's only been a short while since I've installed the OS update and the only difference I have noticed thus far is that my BlackBerry is much more responsive. There is no lag when I open a folder in the media section especially with picture thumbnails, they load and open very quickly. The device seems faster overall so I'm happy about that. I was hoping the OS update would have fixed the calendar issue but it hasn't. I still don't get alerts for my calendar events.

i haven't noticed any differences yet. re-provisioning caused all the at&t mediamall apps to re-appear at the top level.

I was running the original Cingular (at&t) OS: v4.2.2.186 (Multilanguage)
Package Version: 4.2.2.186

Consisting of:

Applications: 4.2.2.89
Software Platform: 2.4.0.39
File name: 8300EFIGS_Dutch_PBr4.2.2_rel186_PL2.4.0.39_A4.2.2. 89_AT&T.exe
File size: 71.98MB

This is not an update to the current Rogers OS, RIM has released it for public download. You have this version as you're using a Rogers branded unit.

Go to Options/Advanced Options/Host Routing Table then click the trackball then click the menu button and select the Register Now option. See if that makes your browsers reappear.

Open the desktop manager and then the application loader. Check if the browser option is there and unselected. If it's there and unselected then select it and see if that fixes your issue.

Tried that. Its there, pre selected (an not giving me an option to uncheck / check it). No luck though.

Pretty strange.

Anyone else having this issue on TMO Unlocked Curve?

Huge difference in responsiveness after moving from AT&T to Rogers ROM... I really don't see the spinning cursor much anymore at all. So far, that's really the only change I see, but it's significant...

Just thought I'd report that this new OS does not solve the problem of calls ringing through to the device speaker rather than playing in the headset when you're listening to music. Terrible design if you ask me. Oh well, maybe in the next OS release they'll make this an option. I can't believe my Sony Ericsson phone from three years ago had this option but RIM didn't seem to think it was important. Being a commuter I hate having my phone go off on transit, oh well, maybe I am a minority. I just set it to vibrate and assume every time the music pauses it's not the song ending, it's a call coming in.

After upgrading to the Rogers OS, has anyone had any problems with their AT&T Push-to-Talk? Does it still work?
