Default Mail coming to blackberry before outlook, how can i stop this?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

I am sitting at my desk here and i have my blackberry turned on and my outlook open, each new e-mail is going to my blackberry first and then a few minutes later it enters my outlook.

This is a bit annoying as I have to read every mail twice and have to constantly delete mail from my Blackberry.

I am using office 2007.

Anyone know how to change this?

Regards,

Werrc

How often do you have Outlook setup to pull from your inbox?

Welcome to the forum.

Are you on a BES? If so, what you are experiencing is not that unusual? Please describe your email setup.

For the vast majority of cases. You may still get a couple that will sneak in to the BB first, but you should be OK now.

Hi djm2,

Yes i'm on a BES.

It's a shared hosting mail server from my ISP, not Microsoft Exchange.

Is the problem that the mail is coming to the BB first, or that you're getting in both places? It sounds like the real problem is the latter. And that's just how it works. That's the point of the BB - to get your email in both places.

If you're on a BES, then reading and deleting it in the one place should show it as read then delete it in the other place. But, that synchronization can take a few minutes.

Just get used to it. The BES is just that efficient. I have my send/rcv set to 2 min intervals and almost always receive the message on my BB first.

Are you claiming that you only have to read the email once and don't have to delete it off the BB if it hits your PC first? If so, that seems very dubious.

How are your reconciliation and delete options set? That sounds like it's more of an issue. If set to delete on both & reconcile you shouldn't have to delete them twice on BES.
