Default Anyone using Virtual PC 7 on Mac with BB software?

Please Login to Remove!

I am thinking about getting Virtual PC 7 for my iBook, but I want to know how well/bad the BB software runs in that mode. Anyone with experience in here?

No luck getting Windows to recognize the BB here. I gave it my best shot and I couldn't get it to work. VPC recognized that a BB was attached but Windows didn't. My searches on the internet regarding this issue lead me to believe that you can't do it. I'm going to keep trying, mostly because I'm stubborn, but I'm not very hopeful about it.

NOT GOOD! I don't understand why it would not work. Please update if you figure it out.

It won't work, VPC (which is awful to begin with) loads with little more then a generic set of 1.1 USB drivers which isn't the issue, the issues is with the Intellisync/Pumatech software not being able to communicate with a virtual port.

i would have thought the same as the virtual port was no programmed correctly and was not ment to be used in that way.

Anyone know of Virtual PC 8 rumors, and if it will work with the upgraded version?

I wouldn't count on VPC 8 anytime soon. I'm thinking that the future of VPC is in question with the impending switch to Intel processors. You see, you should be able to run windows directly. We'll see what happens.

I don't quite recall, but you can sync with a simulator; this is a virtual port?

From what I understand is the problem is getting the device to be recognized so the drivers will install. I am not sure why that is though.
