Has anyone had any luck in picking up the phone early at AT&T stores, if so any insight would be greatly appreciated

AT&T is playing this one close to the vest and sticking to the Aug 12th for now. There are always instances when someone obtains one through less than honest means. Over the next few days, we may see quite a few instances.

What?

You got an inside friend or just walked in and asked for it?

Maybe I'll stop by my AT&T store on the way home from work.

I just walked in and picked it up, played with it, and put it back down.

Oh damn! Got me!

Went to the shop 50 yards from work and they already have a list.
Getting in 20, 15 peeps on the list including me. They will open at 9 am
Thurs, and will call people to let them know to come get it.

I'll be there at 8:30am

Played with the demo, its sweet! I like it a lot! Nice upgrade from my
Bold 9000.

I forgot to add: The Torch fits nicely into the Bold 9000 leather case.
Its just a wee bit smaller on the sides.

I went in to a corp ATT store yesterday and talked to a rep. He said they won't be in til today sometime. On the website I am eligible for a $50.00 discount with no activation fee. I wanted to verify that I could get that in the store. He looked it up on the computer and said i was good to go.

He is opening the store Thursday and told me to come in and ask for him. I'll be there at 9:00 when they open
