Default Is it okay to delete English UK?

Please Login to Remove!

I'd updated DM from 4.7 to 5.0, leaving the option to check for updates. Now each time I start DM it tells me an update is available for "English UK Language Support." And each time I allow the program to update, it finds no updates available for UK. I'm hoping to stop this nonsense by using DM to uninstall English UK. Will that create problems with the device or with updating the device opsys? Thank you.

You should delete all languages you don't need to optimize memory. Delete away.

This is the second time you've posted this.

I cant tell from what you've said whether it wants to update the English UK on your device, or from your other post, Desktop Manager in English.

Wirelessly posted (My name is Bubbles)

If you delete the English UK, what's going to fill that empty void on the globe?

Yes, I get the response while DM is checking device application updates. To quote a line from the movie "Marathon Man," is it safe...to delete UK English?

I've removed English UK and so far so good. It stopped the popup that was appearing on DM5 when the program checked for updates. BTW, if you're working in US English your Options->Language sould read "English (United States)." Until I deleted it, English UK was listed as an add-on under Options->Advanced->Applications. Thanks to Midnightdraven for the help double checking this.
