Go to Options > About

Pin is the unique identifier for your blackberry. It can be found in Options > Status

If you know someone else's pin you can send them a "pin" message. There is a field for it in the BB's address book, too.

An sms messages is limited to 160 characters. A pin message can be almost as long as you want. It's similar to an email but no email account is necessary. Also, a delivery report is generated and shows you that the message got to the recipient's device. It lets you know whether the recipient has their device on, is in coverage, etc.

4.6.0.101 would be your OS version.

You can also type "mypin" without the quotes in an email and when you hit the space bar it will change the text to your actual pin.
