Question How to transfer contacts and sms messages from Nokia to Blackberry

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,
Currently I am using a Nokia and have just bought the Blackberry Curve.
I would like to transfer my contacts, sms messages and calender info to my new blackberry curve.
Is there some software available to do this? I know I can use outlook for contacts and calender, but how about text messages?
Thank you,
Ishan.

If your Nokia has a miniUSB port, load Desktop Manager for the BB, and try using the Switch Device Wizard to move the data from the Nokia to the BB.

If not, if you can back up your Nokia to Outlook or some database like Excel, that will do, and import into Desktop Manager and your BB. You may not get your SMS messages this way.

The Easiest thing to do would to be go to your carrier's store and have them transfer. They have cables that will attach from one to the other and transfer the data.

It would be? I think sitting at my desk would be the easiest way. Your BB comes with the correct cable.

Well considering most nokias dont have the same usb port as a blackberry and importing contacts and exporting is alot harder than it seems and the switch device will not work that way. I work with it daily i know how these programs work

To ishan001--> Many many Nokia devices do have a Nokia-to-USB cable, which when used with BB Desktop Manager, will work just dandy to sync to Outlook and then Outlook to your BB.

Now you choose to do it, or get someone else to do it.
