I've owned two, beginning about three years ago, my girlfriend is presently using one. All three of these S.E.'s feature a built-in phone call recording feature.
NY allows it so long as one party knows. The reason i surmise that CS reps say the call may be recorded is they don't know what state they are talking to you in one call to the next or what the rules are. CYA always works best for them.
man, my old lg ax8600 could do this just by pressing the convenience key. i changed the convenience key to the voice recorder and tried to record a call but when i pressed record, it told me the voice recorder cant be used while the phone is active. bummer.
I saw this on a Dr. Phil once, he wanted to record the conversation, so he made the call from a plane that was over Oregon state so he did not have to notify the other party. Yes i know, I was watching Dr. Phil...
