Default Already noticed my first problem with the Torch

Just got my At&T Torch. Almost wasn't allowed to buy one at AT&T-- long story. They won't let you buy one without a two-year commitment and those who recently bought a 9700 are out of luck.

Anyways, I did finally get one, and for the life of me, I cannot dial a number using the touch screen keypad. No matter how careful I am, it mistypes the numbers. I can make a call using the keypad, but not the touch screen at this time.

Is there an initial screen calibration like the old Palms used to have?

Let me check, I briefly remember seeing something when mine first booted...

Found it:
setup - options - Typing and Input - Touchscreen Sensitivity

no actuall calibration, but you can adjust the Tap, Hover and Swipe sensitivity

My Tap is set to 400
My Hover is set to 300
and Swipe is (High) 6

Other settings under Typing and Input to adjust too

Yeah, tired. No joy. No matter how careful, it types wrong numbers. I may have to call AT&T.

Took it in. Salesgirl couldn't fix it either. It was defective right out of the box. Quick exchange. New one works so far.

thats why im not a fan of touch screens, qwerty keyboard is enough for me

i think rim are making these touch screen phones to keep up with other companies
my opinion RIM are killing them with the keyboard and efficiency they dont need the competition with the touch screens
