Your problem is not a software issue -- Your problem is a carrier TCP/IP issue.

Configuring Internet On BlackBerry - WAP/APN/Gateway Settings
You can now run Internet (TCP/IP) software on BlackBerry nowadays! No BES/MDS needed anymore! You can now do chat software, AIM, ICQ, MSN, IRC, telnet/ssh, web browsing, etc, on many carriers now.

Also, it is possible Dobson may not support TCP/IP (third party networking software). If this is the case, you either need to get BES/MDS hosting or switch to a different carrier to make these third party networking applications working (non-BlackBerry-branded network software)

Default bbtoday miniweather

Mark,
I read your message and have tried several things and I can't get straight answers from Dobson CS. However, after trying several things I now get a message on the bbweather and bbtoday miniweather that says "bad DNS address" any idea what that means?

Mark, thanks so much.

my problem with bbweather was with my APN settings.
Cingular data service guy was sure it was wap IP address or a port or JAVA problem.

I wasted over six hours with Cingular trying everything, not to mention the first time they deleted my Blackberry and text plans, so I was unconnected for a period of time.

Anyways, your instructions were clear and worked lke a charm.

Many, many thanks.

Cool PowerToys on 8700

Just a simple question I hope.

Do all these apps, especially BBToday, work on a BB8700 with OS 4.1.x.xxx

Problem Update: I have discovered the issue, the IT Policy from the BES server is set to disable any 3rd Party Application.

"Disallow Third Party Application Downloads TRUE"

i get the same error but i don't have a BES i just go throw my service provider

I am getting the following error when trying to start BBToday:
"net_rim_bbapi_invoke" not found.
Just installed it on a Verizon 6750.
Anyone have any ideas?

To be able to display the stocks properly do not add ^ in front of the ticker.
