Default Desktop Manager

Please Login to Remove!

I'm a newbie to BB and was recently given a 9900 for work purposes. I installed DTM on to my work PC and my laptop to work from home. The laptop runs fine and sync's with the handset perfectly. The desktop advised that there was a new version of DTM (V7 whatever) and so I upgraded. The software wouldn't install and I get a message saying that BB Desktop Software has stopped working. Doing what a lot of people would do, I removed the programme and re-installed the previous version (V6 whatever) and I still get the same message. The laptop hasn't prompted an upgrade and I won't do one until I know what's happening. Both PC and laptop are on Windows 7-64 bit.

Has any-one else come across this and how have they cured it?

There have been documented issues with DM 7. I rolled back to the old Beta Version of DM 7.0.0.33. Haven't had any problems so far.

Hi ZB, some forums have suggested that that version might not function fully. Do you have a link to the version you suggested, please?

Hi, since mid Feb 2012 I've been unable to sync my BB 9800 Torch after downloading a recommended update to the Desktop on my WIndows 7 32 bit machine. I've seen numerous entries for this on other forums.

Logged a call with my provider, Telstra, on the 21st of Feb and they advised me that there was a problem with the software and that BB were aware of it.

I've heard nothing since.

Very frustrating guys and girls..

Yes, we did go backwards to 6, but it wouldn't work either..

I look forward to getting something moving sooner than later.. extremely annoying when you are trying to run a business and you can't sync phone and outlook..

Either roll back the version (Download an older copy), or install one of the various 7.x.x.xxx Beta Desktop Manager builds.

Why can't you backup your phone?
