Hi All,
I am fairly new at the blackberry game and hope to learn alot more soon. My question is if I purchase and unlocked 8703 for bell can I subscribe to the minimum bell data plan for 25 bucks a month? Or is this only available with a voice plan?

To get the full use of the BB, you should go with a BB dataplan. If this $25 plan is not a BB plan, then don't.

Bell will not allow foreign ESNs on their network. If you were able to get a non-Bell branded BlackBerry 8703 it could be made to work for voice but not for Data. I've tried numerous times to get a Sprint 8703 up and running and it's just not an option.

You could subscribe to the $25/month 4MB BlackBerry data rate plan (you would have to pay an additional $9.70/month for SAF and e911). On that plan your voice calls would be charged at $0.30/minute.

You could also subscribe to any voice plan and add the $25/month 4MB BlackBerry data feature on top.
