Default Internet turns itself off after a couple of hours

Please Login to Remove!

Hi, I've got a problem with data services on my blackberry. What happens is after a battery pull, wifi and gprs services all work fine, but after a couple of hours the gprs fails and I can only use wifi!

I don't have BIS or BES, but I do have an unlimited data plan from T-Mobile. I'm using the BOLT browser and the gmail app, both report connection errors when I try to connect through gprs. I've tried the usual resending service books and registering on the HRT, but I never get a response from the HRT (although it does say the message has been sent). My HRT is completely blank too (not sure if it should or shouldn't be as I'm not using BIS/BES)

This is really annoying me! everything works absolutely fine for a couple of hours, but after that I have to do a battery pull to reset it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Nick

The HRT won't have anything in it as you don't have BIS. You also can't resend service books, because you don't have BIS.

Ideally you should get a blackberry data plan, are you potentially swapping between a t-mobile tower and an orange tower [now that you can share signal] and that its losing the data signal?

Thanks for clearing up the service books/HRT thing, I wasn't sure about all that! I was on BIS for a short while but figured it wasn't worth the extra cost per month.

I've found that I can connect to either orange or t-mobile towers when the data is working, and nothing will work after a couple of hours. Perhaps a factory reset might cure it?
