My experience with 3.2 has been GREAT so far.

- Faster launch
- Better caching
- More easily readible
- Seems generally faster
- Better / faster search function
- Cleaner interface
- Some nice new functionality
- Less clutter despite added functionality

Bravo Google!

I'm still using v.2.3.2. I was wondering if there was a .alx file posted someplace to host the older versions. If I recall, I believe Google Maps was available only OTA. Being that the case, is there a way to isolate just this one app with DM and make your own .alx?

Just for the sake of rolling back so to speak!

It's only a slight annoyance, but why did they take out setting status messages for latitude?

I have installed, uninstalled, and reinstalled 3 times (with a few battery pulls) and I still have 2 problems on Tour 9630:

1) I cannot select anything on the map. On older versions, there was a little bullseye that you could scroll and click on a pushpin, or just any place on the map. Do other people still have the bullseye?

2) The map does not "open and close" when I scroll over it on the homescreen (this is obviously less of a concern for me).

Thanks.

Traffic layers seem to differ depending on zoom level. In other words, some roads appear congested but after zooming out, the same roads don't show congestion.

I'm in the NYC Metro area and find the traffic to be very inaccurate now. I'll try devnull's suggestion and hopefully that's it.

@mgerbasio

what suggestion? I was merely pointing out the fact traffic congestion seems to be different depending on zoom level..

You should try setting the bluetooth GPS to be recognized as the default GPS source for the OS, then any application that calls for the GPS puck will automatically be routed over bluetooth with no additional settings.

Try setting the GPS source to match your GPS device's name in the "Options -> Advanced Options -> GPS -| GPS Data Source" menu.

It says on one of the Google Maps support pages that bluetooth pucks are not supported in 3.2.0. Wish I still had the link.
