Default how do I upload video from BB to my Mac?

Please Login to Remove!

I have attached the USB cable from my BB to the Mac but I do not see an icon which indicates the Mac is reading the BB. I would like to upload video to the mac....any suggestions?

On the Mac under Finder click file, then General, then make sure External disk is check marked so that when you plug your BB in it shows both "disk drives". I do this for photos & Movies that I take with my Bold. It's also faster than sending them OTA to people, I normally email them from my laptop.

It probably won't play. The video has to be properly formatted for the BB or you won't get anything. On DM for windows you had to use Roxio media program to convert it, which took forever. I haven't used DM for Mac yet, so I don't even know if they included a way to covert.

either bluetooth or install DM for mac, then the drivers will install that allows you to access the media card via finder

Use Quick Time to convert to 3GP. iPhone formats generally play nice on BlackBerrys.

If the issue is not being able to see the BB as an icon on the Mac desktop, then make sure Mass Storage Mode is enabled on your BB. Go to Options->Memory->Auto Enable Mass Storage Mode When Connected: is set to either Yes or Prompt. Then when you plug in your 'berry, the phone should either ask if you want to activate Mass Storage Mode (if set to "Prompt") and/or ask for your password if you have one set. At that point you should get 2 icons on your Mac desktop, probably BlackBerry 1 and BlackBerry 2. One is the memory card, the other is the device memory. Copy the media files into the appropriate location under Blackberry->music or Blackberry->pictures, although it may not actually matter where you drop the files. I just place them there to keep it simple.

BB Desktop for Mac is NOT required to drag and drop files, but you may need to convert video files to play on the BB as mentioned above.
