Default Twitterberry

Please Login to Remove!

I have the Twitterberry installed on my BOLD.
My question is that on the home screen, the Twitter icon (the blue letter T) appears with the number 99+ even if I've already quit the app and no longer tweeting.

Does anyone know what that means? The number was 66 a few hours ago.

How can I remove it?

Thanks.

I recommend uninstalling TwitterBerry and installing a different twitter application like UberTwitter.

Yes.
Look at Übertwitter or Tweetcaster or Social Scope.

Unless you are dedicated to twitterberry, I too recommend switching. Twitterberry is falling behind. I think you would probably like ubertwitter if you try it. And if you don't, you can always delete and go back to twitterberry.

Regarding your issue, though, have you tried a hard reset to see what happens?

EDIT: By the way, if a new version of twitterberry came out in the last two weeks, then maybe they aren't falling behind. But only maybe.

No. I don't if there is. I was covering my butt in case there was a release in the past few weeks.

It may be a better app, but the permission list is long and way too generous for a twitter app, IMO.

went to ubertwitter's site there's a free version and a for-sale version. is there any significant difference between the two?

next, i clicked "purchase now" and i have to enter my PIN. question: must i have a data plan to use ubertwitter? coz i use twitterberry when i have a wifi connection.

I'm using the free version, downloaded from app world. Don't know what is different compared to the paid version. I'm happy with it.

Ditto regarding wifi. Works fine on wifi.

By the way, I suspect the pin is required for the paid version to registration to your blackberry.

TwitterBerry is still around??

I would definitely go to UberTwitter and sign up for SocialScope. Just incase they send more invites.

Yes, there are ads, but I barely notice them. There is one banner ad at the top of the screen. It's no different than many mobile websites. I train my eyes not to look at the ads.

To remove it go to Options > Advanced Options > Applications. Scroll down til you find Twitterberry, highlight it, press Menu key and delete. If it prompts you to reboot, do it.

Already uninstalled Twitterberry and downloaded Uberberry but I'm encountering problems:

1. Options - when I click Verify Account an error message appears: "Network exception trying to communicate with Twitter service."

2. I always get the message "Network error"

3. On the main page I just see the words "Load more..." but I can't view timelines.

Perhaps I can only use Uberberry on BIS or BES? Not with wifi?

It's driving me crazy I think I was better off with Twitterberry... Help pls.

Ditto. The advertisement is very unobtrusive.

Have you gone into options yet? At the advanced networks options page, the default, I belive, is "auto network" and "use wifi if available" checked. Is that what you see? If not, I would set it that way and try again.
