Is there anything worth knowing there? The invite was caught in my spam filter and I just saw it this morning.

EVERYTHING is slow! It locked up many times. The host URL was unavailable or timed out a bit. The content was nice. I'm doing a write-up here shortly on it.

...I stopped listening when I started having issues with a server here, although I likely would have stopped anyhow.

I have no issues with it.

A little dry. It would be nice to have a video of the speaker as well, as I find just watching slides and listening to a voice boring.

I haven't had any difficulties with the presentations, sometimes clicking a button was a little slow, but for the most part it has been fine.

For those users who haven't been to one of these seminars in person or who have very little experience with BlackBerry or are just interested in the server-side interface and architecture, it's a nice webcast for them to offer. Otherwise, there was only one session that was of real interest.

I haven't had any problems with it at all. I agree it's a little dry, but I've gotten some good info out of it.

Only problem I had was with chatting with the so called Blackberry experts that were available. They would sign out of the chat before I could finish my question, or respond to their response. I would ask a question, and they'll provide an answer, and while I'm typing additional question or asking them to clarify their answer, they would simply sign out of my conversation.

Also, the site kept on displaying error messages when trying to navigate, so I had to reload the site multiple times.

I actually followed up and sent a message to unisfair which was running the whole operation for RIM. They confirmed that they were having several problems with the site as of 9:00am. The whole event is over but I'm hoping they'll be more prepared the next round. I wonder how RIM feels about their event being somewhat unreliable and slow?

jibi, which presentation did you find worthwhile? Most of the slides seem recycled from the Live IT Seminar from the past. ie. Disaster Recovery Prep

BlackBerryCool » Special Report: BlackBerry Technical Seminar recap

...the roadmap, but of course

Anyhow, the thumbnails should be fixed here shortly, and you'll also notice that I agree completely about the rest of the presentation. This definitely should have been a benefit to those administrators who have never been to a CWTE seminar or for those users who want to have a peek into our side of the forest. I deal with web conferences day in and day out, and I must say that I really liked the interface that was being used for the virtualized seminar meeting hall. That was very nicely done. If Unisfair can somehow improve the speed of their interface, then they will have a VERY nice product offering (not that it isn't great already).
