I am unable to log into TMO BIS page. It just said "Page not found".

Edit:

Additionally, I have not been able to receive emails in last few hours.

same thing for AT&T/Cingular

Edit: I just tried it again and received the following message:

Service temporarily unavailable due to maintenance. Please try again later.

(Hope this is an indication of good things to come i.e. BIS 2.3)

Yep, I tried to log into my BIS account and got this message...

Service temporarily unavailable due to maintenance. Please try again later.

Maybe the BIS 2.3 upgrade is happening? I have been unable to receive emails since last night. I hope it goes back up soon.

Getting intermittent email. Got 1 email from 1 POP account and am missing 6 from the other POP account.

To test:

Sent email from gmail to work BB - nothing.

Sent email from gmail to personal BB - nothing.

Sent email from ISP to work & personal BB - nothing.

And I'm sending to my tmo.blackberry.net address - not just the POP/IMAP ones

Both BB's are on TMO.

T-Mo BIS - can access site through My T-Mo, sent SBs, no congrats messages; HRT registration claimed to work, appears to have no effect; no joy following battery pop.

it's "Brick Tueday" all over again.

Same problem here with Verizon. I can log into BIS, but am not receiving emails. I resent my service books, but didn't receive anything on my Berry.

Functionally, this is (or, rather, should be) what's different:

Quote:
Even thought the release date is (obviously) wrong, see here for what will supposedly be in BIS 2.3: BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS) 2.3 launches today : The Boy Genius Report

Features that will likely matter to most users include:

1. FULL (2-way -- like BES) Message Reconciliation with Gmail and Yahoo! Accounts: This is a pretty big step forward and will obviate the necessity for many of the "work-arounds" that have been developed in this regard.

2. Integration of Delivery & Read Receipts.

3. Ability to snag files (not just media files) from the MicroSD card and attach them to emails.

4. Ability to play .wav/.mp3 email attachments -- handy, even necessary, for those of us who have our voicemails forwarded to us via email (think Vonage/Cisco/etc.).

There are supposedly going to be some other enhancements as well, but those are the "Big 4" as far as I'm concerned -- each of which is a pretty significant step forward in the functionality of the device, which is why I am absolutely shocked that there's not more buzz about this on this Forum.

--Mav
Practically, as of right now, I don't see any difference in the interface at all. And, obviously, since the BIS service isn't delivering mail at the moment, I can't tell if any of the new "functionality" works either.

I guess we just need to wait and see what happens when it comes back up . . . .

i took a look within the email settings, and if you EDIT each address, you may see changes. i saw that some of my listed email showed as no password saved. most notably, as you'll see in the image, that "Deleted items" option is new.

but... even after checking and saving each individual email setup, still no action to/from the handset.

Most likely for the “Synchronize deleted items between this mailbox and my device” in the edit option for your email accounts.

CICAL is for calendar meeting accept/invite. I finally received my service books but only see gmail[CMIME]. Maybe because I already have BES??
