We are running BES 220.127.116.11 on Windows 2003 Server Standard Edition (fully patched) with Groupwise 7.
Some of our users prefer to use IMAP (like Thunderbird and Outlook) clients on their desktop/laptop computers to send and receive e-mail. I have noticed that an e-mail originating from an IMAP client can not be replied to from the BB device (mostly 8700g models). It seems that when you reply to the message from the BB, it changes the reply-to address on its own. For example, an e-mail from John P Doe (with correct e-mail address
) changes to "john
". Notice that the revised e-mail address has a space in it - the obvious outcome is that the mail simply bounces back. The IMAP clients are configured correctly with all fields populated perfectly.
Not sure what is causing this and is quite disruptive.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
