Now regretfully it will not be free, it all depends on which way you use the im (over sms or tmobileweb), most likely with the blackberry your using TmobileWeb so therefore it will depend on what feature you have for data access. Most bb users have unlimited data access so therefore your paying for it with the feature you have added on to your account.

Wow ... it is almost impossible to get through to a techie at t-mobile. I have fallen asleep waiting for help! Why is that??? Glad you are here. I really love my BB and I am happy with the tmo billing and the customer service-support people really try hard ... but I need BB expert ... luckily I found this forum. It is the BEST.

Default Ability to get email from MSN

Currently you can set up to read email using T-mobile abd BB7290 with any POP3 account as well as Yahoo email. I have an MSN account and would like to know if there are any plans to set that up in the future.

Thanks

moe

Moe

Regretfully I haven't heard anything about this, but this is definetly something I can forward to my supervisor to put forth to the attention of BIE engineers.

get a corporate/business account. i've waited for 10 minutes at the maximum, and that was only once. typical hold time is instant.

or i suppose you could try and dial the number yourself and see if you can get through with a single account - 877-727-5742

Well I appreciate the welcome, I dont have an explination on why the hold time is long it does vary day to day. Some days we have outages and alot of people call in becasue there device lets say cannot acces the data network. A recomended day to call in the middle of the week tuesday or wednesday before or after lunch.

Branko: What is T-mobileweb? is this something that I can use on my BB 7290 and still check my office and personal emails? I don't have the good voice plan on my T-mo line and every month I am struggling to keep the bill low. I will have to move to AT&T because I have unlimited plan over there but would still keep the BB plan for data

Hi Branko - trying to keep to my original post on another thread, I had a question about people calling ME from the States while I am in Australia and how they make that call. Seems like a dumb question but I have to ask it because we are leaving our number with some technology-challenged folks like me (and I'm sure there are others just like me lurking on these boards ... Since my other post has another issue attached to it, I think I can post this here but if not, all apologies to those in charge.

Basic - how do they call our number from their home phone while we are roaming in Australia?

(By the way, I've never had to wait on hold long at all when I've called T-Mobile and so far have been very happy with the service).

Thanks.

Tmobile web is basically internet acces for t-zones/wap which is a method of using the im, most likely yoru accessing the im through your unlimited bb data feature. This is somethign that cannot be used with recieving email. Now your voiceplan issue have you tried talking to customer care to arrange a different rate plan?

Well you can be anywhere in the world if you have your tmobile sim card in your phone and you have signal on your phone then anyone will be able to call you on your mobile number.

I just wanted to make you all aware that T-mobile is working on resolving the hold issue. They are taking minor and majors steps in resolving it, I dont know how long it will take until it is fully resolved but I will keep you guys posted. Now I do suggest if you are going to call in for tech support just go straight to customer care and ask them to transfer you to PDA/Blackberry Support.

branko,
i am a tmo rsr, and like a lot of my co-workers we have been without email on our blackberries for at least a week. what is the word (if any) on the BIE looping issue? all that we have been told is that it is a known issue; sorry about your luck. i don't know if you guys have any more info on it than us.

thanks

hi and welcome.
i have a bb 7230 and my wife says i love it more than her .. maybe so.
will here is my problem about 3 days ago my bb started rebooting by itself. i would go to answer a call and it would reboot. i could be online and ... reboot. i would just look at it wrong and ... you guessed it reboot. after spent time on hold - i don't mind that much because i always get answers from you guys, not the runaround- the tech told me to reload the software which i did. today it was still having problems but not nearly as often. i was going to up grade to the 7100t for Christmas anyway so when they told me i was out of warrenty and offer a great deal i jumped. here's the thing i wanted to give my wife this (bb7230)phone so she could join the happy world of, as she puts it "crackberries" but i cannot give her a faulty phone. tmo thinks its software. i have tried to reload the op system twice. still the problem continues. can you think of something i can do to get this woman into the club with this phone or am i just going to have to show her how much i love her and my bb -- meaning buy a second one for her. she loves the nokia3300(unlocked) i bought her last christmas but she likes my email and web browsing capabilites on the bb.

thanks for any help you can give
