Have an 8700c. Loaded OTA via the "other" BB Regular link. App hangs every time I try to start up. Continues to hang after reboot. Tried to set permissions to allow everything. No luck, still hung.

Anyone else having trouble? CRS, any advice? TIA, JT

UPDATE: Tried the "other" BB WAP link as well. Gets hung at same point in both Regular and WAP versions --> at dialog requesting permission for xoap.weather.com connection. Deleted previous version 4.01 of PocketDay before loading (which ran perfectly).

There's a very good chance that it's pilot error, but * and # don't seem to work as hotkeys on my 8100. I can map those keys by using "change option" (or by pressing alt, then the key, then enter), but can't the keys to work, even when pressing alt.

jontalotta, go to the BB firewall screen, make sure it's disabled. Then do reset and save in that same firewall screen. Go to App permissions (also under security) and make sure that PocketDay is set to Allow for everything. If you get the Connection dialog, check Allow and Always Allow (you'll have to scroll down to see the other).

Thanks CRS - No luck. I am on a corporate BES. Our Admin will not permit me to Disable the Firewall, nor can I Allow certain Interactions (Fingerstroke Injection and Browser Filters). These never affected Pocketday in the past. I know how to handle the prompts for phone log access, etc. The problem is the app won't cylce past the prompts (now hanging on phone log access, was doing it on weather before). In fact, once the app hangs, and I pull the battery, I can't even get past the initial security screen after entering my handheld password. Have to power off and back on, and then enter the password again. Then, when I select the app, it does nothing at all. The handheld is working fine so I am perplexed (and bummed because I was really looking forward to the new version). Any suggestions? Does it matter whether I use the Regular or WAP version (does not seem to...same problems...). By the way, the handheld runs Cingular OS 4.1. JT

Default Great Product/Great Support

Kudos to CRS for responsive support in resolving my installation problem. Exchanged a couple of emails with CRS, sent me a utility, I installed and ran it, problem solved and Pocketday 4.2 runs great.

Thanks, JT

They are a great group which leads to a great program. I did get an error 5 on the summary page in calendars. I been trying to recreate it with no luck but I think it had to do with displaying two days in calendar and having no appointents for the second day.

Just wanted to give you guys a heads up, but it also could have been something i did

I've used PD for a long time and it is the best app I've seen for the BB. Any screen shots of the new version???

I"m getting an error - 3 "No Appts" in the approintments bar.

It went away when I did an exit-restart.

I had an "error 4" and a simple restart took care of that as well.
