Default Telenav 5.1 - possible to turn OFF bt audio?

Please Login to Remove!

I have Telenav 5.1 with my 8800, and am very happy with the application. One thing I'd really like though - I understand that many really wanted the audio via bluetooth capability. I don't though, I'd prefer to NOT have my bluetooth headset stuck in my ear the entire time I'm driving, and ALSO would like it if the Telenav audio didn't keep interrupting a phone conversation and making me ask my caller to please repeat what they just said. Is there anyway to have my bluetooth headset ON and use for phone, but to make Telenav use the speaker, like it used to? I've looked, and can't find a setting anywhere.

Thanks...

See my sticky thread - audio is an issue right now. Hoping they are working on a fix - like pause audio. You can set it to no audio but that's a problem - pause audio is the real solution.

wow...when i first realized this i was wondering y the audio prompts weren't going thru, then i put my headset on to make a call and realized when a bt headset is paired while naving, the audio goes thru the bt headset.

it'd be nice to be able to set it to continue thru the speaker on the phone while paired with a headset, but i also like it going thru the headset....

I'd like to mute my kids some times, but pause or mute works for the audio. In reality, I want it when I really need it. I don't need it for the same turn I have done 3,623,345 times. Either way you get it.

yes i do....

i can see how making the same turn 3,623,345 times will cause ppl all kinds of mental problems if they had to hear it one more time from Mrs. Telenav.....

OK, I just posted to your thread - and I can see where my title for this one was a bit confusing. What I *really* want is the ability to select the destination for the Telenav audio. Let me pick between headset and speakerphone. That way when I'm on a call using the headset, Miss Telenav doesn't blast into my conversation and make me ask the person I'm talking to to repeat themselves. I want my phone conversation via the headset, and Telenav routed to the speaker - JUST the way it was in 4.7!

I don't get the audio unless I'm actually on a phone call. Do the earpeices let you hear without being on a call?

When my BB is paired to my headset, the audio for TeleNav continues to come thru the phone. I would like it to come into my headset. How do I configure the setup to do that? Anyone? Anyone?

*shrug* You've got me, man! Mine does exactly what you say you want, and I want it to behave the way yours does, and can't get it to change either. Very strange! Want to swap 8800's?

I have an 8800 and the directions come through my BT headset when paired and operational. On my 8820, I cannot get that feature to work...the directions come through the speaker regardless if the BT headset is paired and operational.

The 8800 has Telenav 5.1.20 and the 8820 has 5.1.20 also. Could this be something with the OS version of the Blackberry device?

I performed an OTA install and subsequent startup on the 8820 with the BT headset operational thinking there might be some type of linking into the BT environment when it was first run...to no avail. Any ideas how to resolve this?

I do like the idea of being able to select audio destination in the tools/extras. Great suggestion.

I have an 8800 on t-mobile using telenav 5.1.39 and it seems to have the option to enable/disable bluetooth audio by pressing the speaker key. This version is the first time i've noticed that option.
