Question Im new...A couple questions Please!!

Ok...I have been reading this forum ever since I saw that the RIM BB8320 was coming to T-mobile. I have played around with it at the store, and I really like it. I currently have the NOKIA for the Hotspot@Home (UMA) and having a lot of problems with not being able to make calls or missed calls, SO I want to upgrade and in hopes that the BB has better UMA Quality. I want the BB8320, but I have seen a lot of people saying they are having problems with the UMA service, a lot of DUST problems, Durability problems, etc. I do not want to go out and drop this kind of money on something that will have constant problems. I see with AT&T a lot of people are returning thiers under a warrantee for Dust. I am very OCD and I know this would bother me. Does anyone know how this works with T-mobile?? Will I have to send it back and be without a phone till they get me a new one/ do I take it in store/ How long can you do this?

I have also read that the 88XX series is a lot more durable than the 83XX series... I have read many places that the 8820 is out but does anyone know if and when T-mobile is going to recieve this?

Thank you for your Time and Patience!

TMo warranty will send you a replacement first, then you send yours back. It's a good system.

Your UMA troubles are likely a problem with your router and not a problem with the phone. You may experience the same issues with the BB 8320. I would look into getting TMo's router. Also, check the Main Page - BlackBerryFAQ for more info on how to setup wifi/uma on your router.

I have gone through 4 different networks ranging from Wireless N , 108mbps, Linksys and now Netgear with Wireless AP's. My phone connects automatically with full UMA bars, but I am constantly having trouble on wireless networks. I have been through 3 phones and 4 sim cards trying to fix this problem. That is why I was hoping that the BB8320 would help this problem since the software would hopefully be updated to fix connection problems.

Any news on the 8820 for T-mobile....I asked a couple stores and corporate employees and they say they doubt T-mobile will get it now they have the 8320

As a very large business customer, T-Mo seems interested in gaining/retaining my business. We have stressed that cameras are disallowed (ala 8320) and that our users prefer the WiFi and GPS features (ala 8820). They indicated that has been a strong message from their enterprise customers and that message is being conveyed back to the equipment/phone decision makers for TMo. I would not believe they are NOT getting the phone ... yet.
