Angry Alarm Issues on the Storm

Please Login to Remove!

My storm did not wake me up once last week but I gave it a second chance. Today it did it again! It woke me up an hour later! I have the time set correctly and everything seems good to me...I almost missed my first patient!!!!!!!!!

P.S I have not upgraded the OS.

Is anyone having problems with the storm alarm clock beside me?

I thought so too but I tried it again a few hours ago and it worked fine on time.. So it's not always 1 hour late..

Just curious, are you using the phone on verizon or did you get it unlocked and are using with tmo?

As for the other poster having the issue, youre also using GSM, could there be an issue with getting the time from the GSM provider?

I have used mine as an alarm clock now for the 7 days that I have owned a storm, never had an issue. In fact, prior to the storm I had a 8330, and 8830 .. Both worked flawlessly every day.

So far I have not had an issue with the Alarm Clock. It woke me up this morning and yesterday and last week. I have the BB Storm in the charging dock and the clock is used as a bedside clock as it charges all night

One suggestion, if you turn your BB off at night, you might want to have it set to auto on about 2 minutes before your alarm goes off.

Works all the time for me with no problems, I would prefer a one off alarm option though. If I set the alarm I only seem to be able to choose workdays or everyday...

Mine works as advertised. I would like to have an alarm feature that would use the time zone I am traveling in without having to adjust my home country time or making the calculations to the alarm. Seems simple..

Even if it prompted before it changed to ask... this annoys our travelling BlackBerry owners too... me, I rarely leave my time zone...

I was curious about that so I set an alarm while the phone was in the auto off state.

It turned on and sounded the alarm on time.

My alarm on the storm is suddenly not working either. Worked fine for a bit, then now nothing. Was almost late for my first patients this am also. Have been doing some reading on the internet, multiple other people stating the same problem. Gonna call verizon now and discuss, will let you know if find out anything.

Five days ago I forgot to turn off the sounds. Four days ago I forgot to set no LED on bedside mode.

Three days now slept through the night with no interruptions and I have had no problems with the alarm.

Phone Only + Bedside Mode (Thanks jsntrenkler!)

I haven't been late yet....... Plus I wake up to cool music on my microSD card!

Not sure why everyone else is having an issue.

I have had my Storm for a couple of weeks now and the alarm was working great up until yesterday morning. I had it set to go off just like it had the previous Monday morning and it never rang...I thought perhaps there was a chance I slept through it, but it didn't sound again this morning, making me late for work for the second day in a row. I've been messing around with sound settings a little this morning and have noticed that the alarm is actually going off, it just isn't making a sound. The sound is set to normal, and the alarm volume is set at 5, so it should be going off! This is my second Storm since it's release in November, the first was accidentally dropped as I was getting out of my car and the screen just popped right out, it wouldn't turn back on after that. So I have been extra careful with this one, hasn't been dropped or anything. Anyone have any ideas? I hate going in to Verizon, they are usually no help and will probably just send me on my way with a phone number to call....thanks

I have one of the newer Storms from Telus, but I have had no problems whatsoever with the alarm on my 9530. I always go into bedside mode, which turns off the blinking green light, and also dims the display.

Owned my storm since November 22nd, been using the alarm 5 days a week since then, never once had a problem. Hell, my alarm went off once just moments before the phone died because (I think) my cat hit the switch on the power strip it was plugged into. I'm on Verizon and have the phone automatically set time based on the Network.
