My new BB curve got wet? Please help?
i bought a bottle of smirnoff ice and decided against using a plastic bag and put it in my bag instead. we did not know that the top had a little leak, and when i opened my bag, i discovered that 1/5 of the bottle has leaked out and my phone got a bit wet. i did not know at first that the insides were soaked as it appeared to be only the screen to be soaked, so i wiped the screen and continued to use it, when i realized the buttons were not working properly.

i took the batt out, hairdryed it at very low temperature, put the batt in again, and it worked with weird buttons. i took the batt out again, hairdryed it again and tried it again. it worked, but i decided to leave my phone off overnight with the battery out. i left my phone out, took the battery out for one whole night. this mornign i put the battery in, and it seemed to be working properly, when all of a sudden i heard a weird sssshh noise and my phone died.

took out the batt, and now its sitting in rice. is my phone toast? i just got it for 2 days :/

By putting the battery back in a still damp BB, it is probably fried. Leave it in the rice for at least 5 days, then try.

But my advice is to toss it and get a new one. Yours is done for.

Never leave the battery in an electronic device when it has been exposed to moisture. That ssssh sound you heard is most likely some part within the phone burnt up.
