Smile IT Policy status message : 03 rejects authentication failed

Please Login to Remove!

Hi All,

We are facing problem with some of the users in our Blackberry server. Our BB version is 4.1.3. When we did the enterprise activation we are getting the error message "IT Policy status message : 03 rejects authentication failed" on our BB manager. And also we are getting the error message in the Management logs that "Incoming NID=XXXX was not found in any of the 1 redirected folders". We tried to do the state datbase refresh (folder corrption option)and we can see only his $inbox on his state databse where as he is having so many folders in his mail client. We tried sending the empty(default) policy to the device but still we are getting same error message on the BB manager(IT Policy status message : 03 rejects authentication failed).

Please let us know if anybody has any work arround or solution for this problem. We tried all the possible solutions as per the KB mentioned by RIM. Please help us.

Thanks
Anees

This error:

"Incoming NID=XXXX was not found in any of the 1 redirected folders".

Is probably not an issue. Just a new item that does not show up in the Inbox or Sent items which are redirected only by default.

The issue with Policy rejection... not sure why doing the state db fix would address that...

Can you perform a provisioning over the USB cable directly connected to the BB Manager?

Was this device used previously at another firm? If so you will need to wipe the device to allow your IT policy to be applied.

Was the BlackBerry at one point on a different BES?

I normally see this issue when a BlackBerry was removed from BES1 and add to BES2 (different db) without doing a security wipe.

If you have to restore stuff do not do a full restore. Instead do a selective restore of address book and stuff.
