Default Nokia Blackberry Connect...

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,

Not sure if this is a correct place to post this but I am running BES 4.1.3 HF4 with Novell Groupwise 6.5.7. I would like to know if Nokia Blackberry Connect works with this setup? I have checked online but it seems that it only works with Lotus Domino and Exchange - is that correct?

I also wanted to know if there is some additional requirement from the service provider (other than BES) in order to use Blackberry Connect?

Thanks a million.

I can't answer the first portion of your question but I can answer the second:

You'll need a Blackberry Data plan or Blackberry Connect plan that allows BES use on the device's account in order to make this work.

Thanks for your reply.

As for the first question - I checked on the BB and Nokia websites. Novell Groupwise integration works with devices that support the Blackberry Connect version 4.0. There are only certain Nokia models have run this version (E61i and E90 is one of them).

We are running BES and obviously the local service provider does have Blackberry Data plan but they do not have (or know anything about) the Nokia Blackberry Connect plan - which is what I meant. So if I were to buy a new Nokia E90 and wanted to configure it with my BES server - would that work or not....ummm....

Any BB connect deivce should be able to connect to any BES running 4.0 or higher. You will need to make sure that the device does have the poper data plan from the carrier, and that the bb connect software is installed on the device.
