Default Windows 7 Enterprise 64 bit

I have a customer that says he talked to BB support and Windows 7 Enterprise is not supported with the desktop re-director.

We are using the latest and greatest and it is a Touch 9630 .

Any truth to what he is saying?

Desktop re-director I assume will not working but if they get the latest DTM 6.1 then it will support the Windows 7 64-bit but mainly it is the Office suite that you should be looking at.

only thing that will differ form this is if they are looking to set up a BES for the server.

Redirector is a goner as it is no longer supported by RIM. Wasn't that good anyway.

We are running the latest client (build 6.x),but somebody at RIM(or 3rd party farmed out support) told the client that 7 Enterprise wasn't supported.

I saw a blurb about flashing the workstation BIOS to the latest rev and it appears as if it's working.

Just puzzles me why somebody at BB tech support would say that.

The build and kernel are pretty much the same across the pro versions of 7.

Just licensing methods and add on's differ.
