Default Red led light won't turn off???

Please Login to Remove!

Hey ppl,

I've got a fairly new bb 8310 (just over a month old), about a week ago the red led light turned on a won't turn off.

I've tried taking the battery out waiting for over a minute (as soon as I put the battery back in the light comes on), checked alerts and just about everything I can think/find in the bb software and nothing works.

I haven't dropped it, and I don't think its been wet (worst case a few drops of rain), worst thing that has happened to it is a few scratches.

I admit I am new to this phone, and it could be something simple (fingers crossed), Anyone have any ideas?

Cheers

This has happend to me before, but i got it fixed with a battery pull. Try pulling the battery and wait for a minute or so. OR you can go to menu>options>screen keyboard and turn off the led indicator...wait for a few minutes and turn it back on, see what happens.

Wow! Great first post.... Are you here to contribute or just cause trouble? This is a great forum and you can meet some great and helpful new people. I am hoping that you can put a different foot forward and see how things go!

Good Luck!

Back on topic...to the OP can you try switching themes and changing back? Does it clear?

My LED was flashing red, so I looked it up here at BBF to see what it means...nothing was going on, it just started to blink red. After five minutes looking around here, it just stopped flashing...now nothing. Maybe the moons are lining up, or Robert Plant left Allison Krauss for a full reunuion tour with his "other" group, or something....

The default settings on the Curve are so that the LED flashes when you receive a message. Maybe that was it?

Yep, and for 15 minutes.

Love Allison Krauss. I could tell you a fun story sometime about a friend meeting AK.

i had the same problem last week. my led started flashing continuously and i had no new messages, alerts, calls, or etc.

i jumped on here to do a search of what it could be and about fifteen minutes later it stopped. hasn't happened again.
