question: i've installed and uninstalled a beiks dictionary on my 8310 twice now, but the icon is no where to be found. still appears in the list of apps installed on the device.

i used beiks mobile download page (Welcome to BEIKS mobile!)

i must be missing something....i tried show all under the main menu, the icon is just not there.

i haven't tried to install the app via dm yet.

Not all programs have icons, some just add a new option to the menu. Open your Memo Pad and press the menu button, is there an option located there for the dictionary? I have never tried this particular app, but I have used others that work this way, like the Empower Email Viewer.

Also, did you do a battery pull?

did a battery pull, still nothing. i had this app installed on my pearl it does put an icon in the main icon window

I tried installing it on my Curve the other day and didn't get an icon either. Not too sure what the problem is.

i know why now, i downloaded the actual dictionary, not the reader. if you contact Beiks, they will email you the link to the reader as well. once reader is installed, the references (dictionaries) you installed will appear in the reader.

You do not need to contact BEIKS...just read and follow the installation instructions at Welcome to BEIKS mobile!.

They start with "First, download the dictionary application from...".

The desktop installation, on the other hand, comes with the dictionary program and installs it along with the rest.

Am I missing something?
