Default email message folders mysteriously disappeared! help please

Please Login to Remove!

I bought a Bold 9000 about a month ago through AT&T. I had just one email account set up for the phone. It was fine but when I opened the phone this morning. The screen had several pop-up error messages talking about something like program exceptions. I pressed "ok" in all the message pop-up windows, and then found out the two envelope message icons disappeared from the top left of the screen. When I go into the main menu, the message folders as well as the SMS message folder are gone (as if someone has deleted them).

A couple hours later the two envelope message icons reappeared in the top left of the screen, showing I have 1 message under each icon. But again, under the main menu there are no email message or SMS message folders, and I cannot view these messages.

Under Setup, the email account is still there under "Email Setup".

The icon adjusting phone profiles (from quiet to vibrate to ring) is also mysteriously disappeared.

Please help!!!

If the battery pull doesnt work, go to the advanced options and delete the service book CMIME for your designated pop account. Then hit the bb button and undelete..as far as the phone profile disappearing, that sounds like a glitch in the OS. Take it back to at&t if under warranty, or perform some maintenance on it yourself.
