Default Blackberry Desktop Manager 4.5.0.14

Please Login to Remove!

I just installed BB Desktop Manager 4.5.0.14 … it is still in Beta (I believe).

In Application Loader … you have the option to … 1) Add / Remove Applications or 2) Update Applications

Backup and Restore … you have the option to … 1) Backup 2) Restore 3) Advanced

Device Switch Wizard … you have the option to … 1) Switch BlackBerry devices 2) Switch from another device to a BlackBerry device

Synchronize … you have the option to … 1) Reconcile messages 2) Synchronize organizer data 3) Run add-in actions 4) Update device date and time 5) Synchronize automatically

And lastly … Media Manager (which appears to be the same … and I may be mistaken)

I haven’t had the opportunity to go through everything in this Beta Desktop Manager … I am still very new in all of this … I normally back-up, restore (only during OS updates) and utilize Media Manager therefore everything that I do in 4.5.0.14 I can do in 4.3.

In my opinion … cosmetically it is the same feel as 4.3 but slightly modernize and very easy to navigate and self explanatory.

DM 4.5 has same problem as 4.3 in configuring sync - "can't find system in table file". Oh well, back to 4.2, again!

Dawg, do a google search for "download blackberry desktop manager 4.5."
Just found it without any problems. You know that we can't post beta software or links. You should have no issues.

I'm surprised how much longer a USB synch takes with 4.5 than it did in 4.3. But I'm willing to live with it since Hide when Minimized actually works.

bundle 14 is not the latest beta of DM. There is another bundle version that is in beta and it's said to be working great. Hold out for a little longer.

Yeah .14 seems pretty slow.

If all you want is to minimize into the system tray and you are running XP you can try a free light weight app called "Tray It!". That's what I do and 4.3 is stable and in my tray!!!!!

Tried it. Don't like it. Too slow. Too busy. 4.3 does the job for me.
