Apparently, Italy was bribing the Taliban to keep peace, but failed to inform the incoming French peacekeepers of this practice when they took over. French troops were massacred as a result.

Those italian pretty boys can't fight, something of this nature would be expected of them but regardless of what they did, it still held off bloodshed...poor french dude got screwed!

Not too fond of the French, they treat US citizens like crap and fail to remember some Americans that saved their asses oh, say, 65 years ago.
