Default Do you guys turn your phones off at night?

Recently, I called in to T-Mobile and the tech advised me to turn my Blackberry off every night. He said that it will keep it in good working order and that is what the manufacturer recommended. Also, I should never charge the battery when half full.

Now, I thought the whole battery issue was the old nickel batteries and not the new Li Ion's? Also, is turning off the unit necessary? Just confused.

I never turn mine off. I do just as Cory does and change the profiles so I don't get awakened at night from emails, etc. I charge mine every evening.

Same as everyone else who have replied. The only time my HH is off is like for 30s--yep, when I do a battery-pull like once each week! I charge whenever I'm home. And I just put it on ZzZzz mode when I go to sleep.

It amazes me some of the cr^p that these "tech" come up with! You can charge your battery when ever you want and your device does not need a nice nap everynight like you do! LOL!

Mine runs 24/7. I get few if any calls at night. My out of holster email notification is at a volume level that if I am awake I would hear it and if sleeping, it does not wake me up.

The only time mine are 'off' is when I do a battery pull. Otherwise they are both on 24/7. They both get the profile changed to OFF at night, except the week that I am on-call for work - then the work one gets changed to Phone Only.
