hot links = ability to click on a link (such as BlackBerryNews.com) from a BBM message. In the past, you could click on such a link from BBM, not not for many of us. Some are able, some are not.

Hmm, they work fine for me. Sure you don't have your browser busy doing something else when receiving a URL?

have to say the best OS so far... charged battery yesterday morning, 36 hours later at 40%, before it would die by bedtime. Quick navigation. After tethering on laptop dont have to do battery pull anymore for my emails to start working again. I heart my bold!
Browser renders a lot quicker.

Hi everyone...
Remember, links to software beta's cause posters to fall into black holes... or worse, have been known to cause comedic routines to be dragged up and compared to when you have too many Who's on first? What's on Second etc. postings... Use Google and search quietly and you can avoid these type of situations...

I hope the powers that be don't mind my request for search resources. I wasn't asking for the actual link for the d/l, but more for a general knowledge. I will hang tight.

regards
I made the same "newbie" mistake when I asked about where to find .210. on Friday! Since it is a Beta version and not "officially endorsed yet" one is left to their own devices to find it and download it. A google search will uncover it. . .then the trick is to figure out how to access it on a given site!!!

I am on .190 now and my Bold works fine except for the small frustrations regarding no thumbnails and wallpaper reverting back to the original install.

I think I'll just put up with those small inconveniences until .210 is official.

Of course by then. . .we will have version .620 somewhere out there!!! Man, are we a slave to this stuff or what!!!!!!!!!???

No, it's an odd deal. Stinsonddog, a few others and I don't have the ability click on links sent in BBM messages. We are on different OSs, different carrier branded Bolds. Neither Stin nor I have been able to have hotlinks from the beginning.

And you think that official .210 will be any different than the beta. Lol.

How do you unlock the themes?

Same as with any OS. Remove the vendor codes in the blackberry.alx file, see the FAQ for details.

I had a random reboot tonight. I went and got my bold and noticed it had rebooted and that the wifi did not come back on.

I doubt it matters, but I used the Loader, and not the Desktop Manager to perform the upgrade.
This is no big deal, bu I had the same problem. After upgrading, the ringer under the different profiles wasm't working.

The battery last longer. I have the WiFi and GPS Tracking software on, and in 12 Hours, I have 15% left. With .190, 15% is at 10 hours. With .210, Browser is faster, and no self-reboot yet, but then again, I didn't have the problem with any of the OS Version. I have apps and games up the ying yang, so if anything, those software might be the cause of the reboot, but it hasn't. With .190, whenever I try to play Streaming Video through YouTube or ORB or Cellular Video (CV), it would reboot itself, with .210, it hasn't yet.

GPS is acquired faster, even indoors through the looking glass. Blackberry Maps works, Windows Live works for me, I just restore from my previous backup and it would work. But at .190, all my friends shows up as not online, so I had to add them back in and when they added me, they showed up on my list again when they are online. Had to do the same for Yahoo Messenger as well with .190. With .210, I didn't have to do re-add my friends.

Viigo works, Berrystore used to crash on me with .190, but with .210, all of the apps works smoothly and fast. Even e-mobile Today Pro Edition works really fast, not with .190. With .190, I see more clock icon, thinking really hard.

So far, it's been pretty stable. I have Wifi and GPS Tracker on all the time, if I leave the GPS Off but WiFi on, I get 50% left of battery life by 12 hours. I wake up at 8am, and by 8pm, I still have enough. I don't let my BB just sit there if I turn off my GPS Tracker, I actually read Viigo for news and play games, and other apps that I have in there. I browse the internet a lot, watch stream videos and check for weather and flights online. I am a heavy internet users on my Bold since I'm on the go. I listen to stream music through Flycast or Mobiola xPlayer 2 hours of my day total.

That's just my review, it's been a 4 days since I loaded .210.

Thank you for the in-depth analysis, and confirming my thoughts about battery life. This is a great build!

i have loaded .210 on my bold and every time i plug into the DM, it tells me it needs to upgrade 4.6 core apps and also delete input for Danish, Norwegian and Swedish language support...

anyone know how to stop this?....it is extremely annoying.

thanks!

I've been getting the same language upgrade alert for about three builds. I ignore.
