Question IT Policy

Please Login to Remove!

Hi, I am new to blackberry, when I try to install some theme for the phone, I got the below error message:
"The following modules could not be loaded because their digital signatures were invalid."

Does anyone know if this is due to the IT Policy on the phone ?

I checked my BB settings, IT Policy name: Default
Last Updated: Feb 24, 2008 9:53AM

How do I remove the IT policy as the phone is no longer on BES.

Thanks.

This is not because of an IT Policy - it's because the signatures of the application were incorrect. I suggest you try a different theme from a different supplier.

All Blackberrys MUST have 1 (and can only have 1) IT Policy. The "Default IT Policy" is blank and does not restrict the device - so you are fine on that end.

You can remove the policy following the instructions found here:

While I would hope this is true, it is *possible* to alter the Default policy. But I would hope any BES Admin worth a salt would know better

To remove IT policy I suggest loading OS 4.5 on the device and go with the first method listed in the link that Juwaack68 posted.

Good luck.

The Security Wipe (step 3 in the link above) takes just a few minutes.

Follow those instructions carefully, including John Clark's comment above.
