I have my yahoo mail forwarded to a gmail account (temporarily, I hope). BIS access to the gmail account is no problem. That indicates to me the problem is on yahoo's end.

I am having the same issue. Yahoo/BIS worked perfectly for months and, as of this morning, no Yahoo hosted mail is being pushed to my BB. GMail works fine. Hopefully they will have this issue resolved soon.

Same thing here. After deleting my swbell account and reregistering it on my blackberry I'm getting all my emails including a bunch of spam I wasn't getting before this fiasco.

Here's the fix I followed from the Broadband Reports AT&T subforum:

Mail Changes Coming! - dslreports.com

Dear AT&T Yahoo! Member,

We're making some security improvements to your AT&T Yahoo! service. These changes will affect members who send or receive email from a desktop or mobile client program, such as Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Outlook Express, Eudora, Apple Mail, or Thunderbird.

To continue sending and receiving email with your desktop or mobile email client program, please take the following steps by March 30, 2007.

1. Open your email client program.
2. Locate the email account settings for your particular client.
3. Change the POP server to pop.att.yahoo.com.
4. Change the SMTP server to smtp.att.yahoo.com.
5. Change the SMTP port to 465 and check the option labeled Use an encrypted connection (SSL).
6. Change the POP3 port to 995 and check the option labeled Use an encrypted connection (SSL).

For detailed instructions on making these changes in Outlook and Outlook Express, please click here.

The web-based version of AT&T Yahoo! Mail is not affected by these changes and will continue to be available at »mail.yahoo.com.

If you have questions, please call us at 1-800-ATT-2020.

Sincerely,

AT&T Yahoo! Customer Care

Default Just started getting email through pop.bizmail.yahoo.com

When I deleted my account off of BIS - i tried to reenter it and it would not validate - it then took me through a quick download and it set-up my account through Outlook Express - I'm getting email now (wasn't before) but I need a dozen eggs to go with all the SPAM.....better than nothing so hopefully this will all get fixed soon - still holding for yahoo but their automated message addresses the BB issue......

Cool

I have the same issue AT&T/Cingular with an att.yahoo.com account

I'm on hold with customer service who just alerted me that "HOLD TIME IS 30 minutes"

No reason to panic - Let the techs at Blackberry/Yahoo/AT&T do that

I deleted and set up my email account with yahoo. Getting my emails again. However, it is taking much longer to receive them. Before they were almost instantaneous.

I was able to delete & re-add the email acct. However it's acting like a POP acct, emails every 15-20 min. No instant-sync.

How ironic that it's the paid acct (Yahoo SBC) that's having issues but the free yahoo acct is working perfectly fine.

I was just able to delete and reconfigure my Yahoo hosted account on the VZW BIS. Yahoo emails are now coming through, but delivery is significantly delayed. Better than nothing I guess...

Default Yahoo Email Messages on BB

I just spoke with a rep from T-Mobile and he just advised me that there is a network outage for T-Mobile regarding the forwarding of Yahoo/SBCGlobal email. I too received the email saying that my account coulnd't be validated; he advised that it isn't anything w/my phone- it's a nationwide outage. Said there is no ETA - but he did give me an extra 100 bonus minutes due to the outage - so give a call and ask for the BlackBerry support group.

This is your hosted smal biz mail account that is finally working again? Please reply as we are trying to get to the bottom of what is causing this problem.

Thanks,

Linda

Default from ATT support site

anybody tried this??

If anyone has been having problems getting yahoo email or has gotten the "your email account is no longer accessable by your handheld" message, there's a current outage that's causing Yahoo accounts to drop out of being validated.

Started last night.

Only known fix right now is to remove/re-add email acct on BIS site (BlackBerry Internet Service)

No known time it'll be fixed right now
.

This works - but it's delayed and lots of SPAM - better than nothing - just remember if you 're using Outlook / OE as a forwarder - leave your desktop on and Outlook on also or you won't get any messages to your BB.

Thanks,

Linda (from Yahoo!)
I use AT&T Internet Services in the San Francisco Bay Area as my DSL provider. My email is hosted by Yahoo and my email address is in the format: [email address]. I was able to sucessfully reconfigure my account via BIS but, like I posted before, message delivery to my BB is significantly delayed. It used to be nearly instantaneous, but now it takes 12-15 minutes. Hope that helps...
