cut and paste it into an IRC channel, how much do the other side see?

I cut and paste for the first time today, what i pasted was displayed on MY jmirc screen but on the other side, fellow channel dwellers only saw the first line..

do we have a bug on our hands? i'd like to verify the behaviour of this with other users and then take it to the developer.
